Marketing Associate

 

BRAND PLANNING & COMMUNICATION

  • Helps to develop & execute go-to-market strategy working closely with Marketing Manager
  • Executes brand communication plan across all platforms (digital multi-media, marketing/sales materials, trade shows, education, photo shoots and promotions)
  • Coordinates with outside marketing/PR agencies
  • Works closely with Sales & Merchandising to develop and execute effective promotional programs
  • Helps develop & execute new product launch plans and programs
  • Works with internal/external design resource to develop sales/product communication materials e.g. Buyer’s Guides, Sell Sheets, etc.
  • Understands and addresses Global and/or Domestic customer needs and requirements
  • When working in a Market Development Center, develops brand/product positioning and messaging

ANALYSIS

  • Tracks and adjusts brand support spending to achieve budgeted levels
  • Manages monthly sample allocation forecasting requirements and achieves appropriate inventory targets
  • Conducts business analysis and presents KPI reviews
  • Recommends and executes brand price strategy
  • Recommends and executes slim and squeeze strategies as needed
  • Conducts category and competitive analyses and insights and recommends appropriate business responses/actions  

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Manages internal/external teams to track and execute marketing programs, projects and new product launch plans
  • Executes appropriate tracking/start documents
  • Assists Marketing Manager to conduct market research and analyses in concept preparation when working in a Market Development Center.  
  • Develops and executes qualification criteria for new product/program rollout

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience building brands and applying current digital, social and experiential marketing best practices
  • Working knowledge of OTC distribution and competing channels
  • Advanced tracking, execution and project management with potential to develop excellent communication, analytical and project management skills
  • Competence in preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations
  • Basic knowledge and practice of market research and segmentation

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or communication concentration (MBA preferred)
  • 3-5 years progressive marketing experience
  • Experience and knowledge of weaves and extensions required
